Thermal conductivity Measurement of Thermal silica gel
Thermal silica gel is a new kind of silicone with additives of high thermal conductivity. As a superior insulation, the thermal conductivity of silicone rubber is usually only about 0.2W / (m • K), but by adding a high-performance heat-conductive additives (e.g. Al, Cu, MgO, AIN, BN, SiC, graphite, carbon black, etc.), the thermal conductivity can be improved several times or even several tens of times.
The thermal conductivities of several thermal silica gels with different additives were measured by the TC3000 meter and listed in table 1. The results show that there is a significant difference of the thermal performance for different sample. Besides, TC3000 shows its advantages when used in sample with irregular shapes.

Thermal conductivity Measurement of water
TC 3000 Series thermal conductivity analyzer also suitable for liquids and the measurement accuracy can be achieved within ¡À 3% or better.
Table 2 lists the experimental results of water measured by TC3000 together with an unsealed sample container emerged in a thermostat bath. Automatic continuous measurement of the data acquisition software was used and the screenshot is shown in figure 1. ¦Ëexp is the experimental data, ¦Ëcal is the reference data from REFRPOP 8.0 (NIST).

It can be seen that the overall uncertainty in all range is better than ¡À3 %. It is expected that the accuracy and repeatability at high temperature should be much better if the sample container was sealed.
