Thermal transfer performance of textile and clothing has become an important topic in modern industry. Not only for the people's life, but also in the aerospace and military. For example, when astronaut working outside the space capsule, the human body temperatures is mainly rest on the spacesuits thus the thermal conductivity vs temperature is very important for the safety.
There are complex heat exchange process between people, clothing, and environment. In steady state, the basic heat transfer method between the clothing and the environment is considered to be heat conduction; but actually, there are heat conduction, convection and thermal radiation. So for the research on heat exchange of clothing, the thermal conductivity of textile should be of first importance.
The thermal conductivities of several textile materials were measured by the TC3000 meter and listed in table 1. The results show that there is a significant difference of the thermal performance for different sample.
